Welcome
“The term retirement has no meaning for me,” says Dr. Bob, “I am constantly evaluating what my purpose is now and going forward, so my favorite question to ask is how I can add value to myself and those around me today?” Bob is all about adding value to whatever he is pursuing at the moment. He still consults in his field of organizational and talent development, has moved his master coaching certification programs to a virtual format, and has all of his coaching/consulting support available virtually. (https://www.learndesk.us/users/profile/5892424519909376 and www.QuantumPerformance.net ) He started his career in family and marriage counseling in Halifax, met and married Pat, who was also a family therapist, and had three daughters. He returned to the U.S. to the University of Pennsylvania where he became very interested in organizational behavior and obtained his doctorate degree. He went to work for Imperial Oil in Toronto as the Director of Organizational Development. He was also VP of Operations for GAR Properties, a family-owned company, heading up property management and maintenance for residential and commercial properties (hence his interest and background in family-owned businesses). He joined AlliedSignal in Toronto in 1993 and was offered a position within eighteen months in Arizona. In 1998, Bob again changed career direction to become a professional speaker, writer, and consultant on his own. He joined the National Speakers Association and wrote two books, co-authored another, and is currently working on a third. He founded Quantum Performance Institute in 1998 as his organizational development company, and then founded a non-profit called Creating A Difference Inc. to provide leadership development for youth organizations and schools. Throughout his consulting career Bob worked with a wide range of business enterprises like Exxon, Bank of New South Wales, the government of Bermuda, and a host of smaller firms. Always interested in health and wellness, Bob loves the active lifestyle. “I absolutely love where I am now,” beamed Bob, “I come through the gates of Province and I am in my paradise, my sanctuary. I still serve others in any way I can because I love enabling people and teams on their path of self-discovery. I finally discovered that my purpose is truly to help others be successful and through their success, I derive my success.”
